The shooting was reported at about 10:10 p.m. in the 2400 block of Fordham Street, police said.
Arriving officers found the victim lying in the roadway and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was taken to a local hospital where he is listed in critical condition, according to police.
Detectives are investigating the shooting and seeking any witnesses who may have seen it take place.
