Two people were in the home at 8 Diamond Court when it caught fire, but the second was able to escape uninjured.
The blaze was reported at about 1:20 a.m. Firefighters called for a second-alarm response and were able to control the fire by about 2 a.m., French said.
The fire destroyed the home, causing an estimated $1 million damage. A vehicle and a fence were also damaged.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, French said.
