2.7 quake strikes near Cloverdale

The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 2.7 struck Tuesday morning in Sonoma County.

According to the USGS, the earthquake struck at about 12:40 a.m. and had a depth of about 0.2 miles.

The quake was centered 8 miles north of Cloverdale and 18 miles south-southeast of Ukiah, according to the USGS.
