A three-alarm fire destroyed at least one condominium and damaged several others this afternoon at a condo complex in Morgan Hill, a Santa Clara County fire official said.

The fire was reported at 1:13 p.m. at 149 Del Monte Lane.

The blaze appears to have started on the second floor of a two-story condo at that address, Senior Deputy Fire Marshal Tom Walsh said.

The home was in a cluster of five condos and the fire damaged all but one, Walsh said. The condo where the fire started partially collapsed during firefighting efforts, he said.

No injuries were reported but about 14 people were displaced, Walsh said.

Walsh said a cat and dog were rescued from the fire.

Firefighters from San Jose, Gilroy and South Santa Clara County also responded to the blaze, which was controlled around 2:30 p.m.
