Coupon waitlist may delay DTV switch

Consumers Union has called for a delay, the Obama transition team says that is a good idea.

This comes just after the Federal Government announced it had run out of the $40 DTV coupons and was putting consumers on a wait list.

Now the New York Times is reporting a study finds those who don't know about the transition tend to have lower income than the average and use antennas to get their signals.

That's the exact group that has always been seen as most at risk.

So a delay is looking likely, but not guaranteed so it's best not to delay and make your transition now. We're 37 days away from the currently scheduled digital conversion.
