Firefighters received a report of a possible drowning at about 1:05 p.m. at 34605 Mobile Court, according to the fire department.
Arriving firefighters found a Fremont police officer performing CPR on the child in the garage of the single-family home after the child was found in the pool by family members.
Paramedics from the fire department, along with members of American Regional Response, administered advanced life support and were able to regain a pulse in the child as well as spontaneous respirations before arriving at a local hospital.
The child was stabilized and is expected to survive, according to the fire department.
