Sometime overnight, someone covered all the signs for Bush Street with the word "Obama" on every white sign between the Financial District and Presidio Avenue.
City workers started removing the Obama stickers around midday Tuesday.
By the way, Bush Street is not named after any former president. Instead, it is believed to be named after J.P. Bush, a cabin boy who helped Jasper O'Farrell map San Francisco in the mid-19th century.
