Lott's non-profit organization "All-Stars Helping Kids" is entering its 20th year.
To celebrate, they're launching a new campaign called the "Get in the Game Challenge." They're hoping to raise a million dollars from sponsors and the community at-large. Lott realizes it won't be easy in today's economic environment.
"There are so many non-profits that aren't going to be around, and yet if you stretch yourself, that non-profit could possibly stay around. I'm asking all of us to play that role and be an all-star," said Ronnie Lott.
"All-Stars Helping Kids" has raised more than $20 million for disadvantaged children in low-income communities over the past 20 years.
