SANTA ROSA, CA

Sonoma County sheriff's Lt. Steve Brown said a California Highway Patrol officer and a sheriff's deputy were injured in the crash with another vehicle around 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

They were traveling in a patrol car west on state Highway 12 near Boas Drive in Santa Rosa when a vehicle in the northbound turn lane of eastbound Highway 12 turned in front of the patrol car, Brown said.

A person in that car and the two officers were taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, Brown said. One officer suffered a cut on his head and the other officer complained of pain in his arm. They were treated and released. The person in the other car was treated for minor injuries.

The officers are members of the Multi Agency Gang Enforcement Team. The names of the parties involved in the crash were not immediately released.
