Carls Jr. robbed at knifepoint

FAIRFIELD

Police said an employee of the restaurant at 2380 N. Texas St. stepped outside to have a cigarette around 10:20 p.m. As he was on his way back in, he was approached from behind by a male suspect.

The suspect pushed the employee inside the restaurant, drew a knife and demanded cash from a safe, police said. The suspect held the knife to the abdomen of another employee while the first employee retrieved the cash, police said.

The suspect, who was wearing black clothing and a black beanie, then fled out the rear door of the restaurant.

No one was injured in the robbery, police said.

A reward of up to $1,000 has been offered for information leading to an arrest.
