Bay Area economy predicted to get worse

January 29, 2009 6:22:59 PM PST
The Bay Area economy is projected to get worse, before it gets better. That is the forecast from the Association of Bay Area Governments.

The economists predict our local economy will mirror the rest of the nation with 2009 being a weak year.

The report projects 56,000 additional job cuts in the Bay Area during the year and zero percent growth in income.

The group expects the economy, both local and national, to begin to rebound some time in 2010.
