San Andreas trail remains closed

MILLIBRAE, CA

The trail closed Jan. 6 from San Bruno Avenue to Larkspur Drive to allow San Francisco Water Department crews to repair a leaking pipe.

Crews, however, found additional leaks in the line that required repair and therefore need extra time to finish the project, Moore said. The trail is scheduled to reopen Feb. 21.

The leaking pipe, which is owned and operated by the San Francisco Water Department, runs under the trail.

The San Andreas Trail is open south of Larkspur Avenue, according to Moore. Access gates to the trail at San Bruno Avenue, Skyline Boulevard and Larkspur Drive will remain closed as well.

The trail connects with Sawyer Camp Trail at Hillcrest Boulevard.

Sawyer Camp Trail extends to Crystal Springs Road and will remain open while the pipe is fixed, Moore said.
