Exercises:

  • Forward and side lunges: works the hamstrings, glutes and thighs. You can add resistance by using a weight, water bottle or canned food.

  • Push Ups: works biceps, triceps and deltoids. You can use the wall instead of the floor to ease difficulty.

  • Shoulder Rotations: works deltoids and shoulder blades. You can add resistance by using a weight, water bottle or canned food.

  • Squats: works the glutes, quads and hamstrings. You can add resistance by using a weight, water bottle or canned food.

  • Side Plank: works abs. You can stay stationary or move your hips up and down for more of a challenge
Shape Up SF:

WHAT: Mayor Gavin Newsom kicks-off Crunch's Train for Charity event on Tuesday, February 10th. Crunch's certified staff of personal trainers will offer guests the opportunity to experience an expert personal training session while simultaneously benefitting the community of San Francisco. All proceeds will be donated to Shape Up San Francisco to fund initiatives that encourage healthy eating habits and active lifestyles including Soda Free Summers, Walking Challenge, After School for All and Shape Up Bayview Hunters Point Garden Project.

Train for Charity will take place on Tuesday, February 10th ALL DAY at all seven SF Crunch locations

Crunch personal trainers will be donating their time in 30 min. increments (participants can also do an hour or more) and all proceeds will be given to Shape Up SF on behalf of Crunch

Suggested minimum donation is $30 for 30 min. session and $50 for 60 min.

There will also be a raffle going on all day, with the grand prize being a two-night stay at Plumpjack Squaw Valley Inn ($600 value)
a. Other prizes include six laser underarm treatments from Smooth SF med spa ($550 value), Burke Williams gift certs., and more
b. Burke Williams will be onsite throughout the day giving mini chair massages
c. There will be giveaways-including food
d. The raffle is so that people that want to donate but don't want a personal training session can participate AND an add-on for people who do choose to "train for charity"
