34-year-old Sergeant Binkley was accused of robbing a pharmacy for painkillers prescribed by Army doctors for a fractured hip.
The West Point graduate had been found not guilty by reason of insanity last month, for committing a similar crime in Santa Clara County.
Binkley will likely be sentenced to five years supervised probation.
The former Army captain had faced up to 12 years in state prison.
