A 24-Divisadero trolley bus traveling near the intersection of Oakdale Avenue and Third Street drove over a streetlight and crashed into a commercial building just before 11 p.m., Muni spokesman Judson True said.

One passenger on board was treated at the scene for minor injuries, True said, and significant damage was caused to one wall of the unoccupied building.

The Muni driver behind the wheel at the time of the crash has been placed on non-driving status while authorities conduct an investigation, True said, which will include drug and alcohol testing.

The crash disrupted service on the 24-Divisadero as well as the light rail T-line, which runs on Third Street, for about an hour, True said.
