To earn a spot in Jerry and Valerie Bahm's drawing, contestants must fill out an application, attach $150 and correctly answer a simple math skills question deciphering how many bags of sunflower seeds the local Little League team eats in a season.

The couple hopes for 13,000 entries. After paying off their $700,000 mortgage and expenses, they say they will split the proceeds among four charities.

If the couple does not receive 13,000 entries by August, the winner will receive half of the money collected instead of the house.

San Joaquin County Deputy District Attorney Steve Maier says the contest appears legitimate.
