Officers began pursuing the stolen Ford truck near Civic Drive after the owner told police he was following it east on Taylor Boulevard at about 3 p.m., according to Pleasant Hill police.

Police confirmed the truck was stolen and attempted to pull it over on Sun Valley Boulevard, according to police. The driver, 33-year-old Joel Luna, allegedly fled, and officers initiated a pursuit.

The chase passed through Concord on surface streets until Luna entered southbound Interstate Highway 280 and led police through Danville and into San Ramon before surrendering in the 3400 block of Fostoria Way.

Luna, who police said was on active parole, was arrested and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility for auto theft and evading officers.

No injuries were reported and no property was damaged, police said.

Danville and San Ramon police assisted in Luna's arrest.
