The plan calls for selective logging over 20 years, on hundreds of acres of what is described as "overcrowded" timberland, along the Russian River near Monte Rio.

Thousands of redwood seedlings would also be planted and dozens of acres would be off limits to logging forever.

The Bohemian Club is a century-old group of influential Bay Area leaders who meet secretly at the retreat, and promote San Francisco cultural activities.
