At about 2 p.m., a victim sustained two gunshot wounds in the 2900 block of Nicol Avenue, police said. The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
At about 4:20 p.m., officers responded to reports of a traffic accident on the Hegenberger Road overcrossing at Interstate Highway 880. Police said the driver of a vehicle in the crash had suffered a gunshot wound to the chest.
The victim was listed in critical condition at a local hospital, according to police, who said it was not immediately clear where the shooting had taken place.
Another shooting was reported at about 4:25 p.m. in the 1400 block of 48th Avenue, police said. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was treated a local hospital.
