Police find shotgun in teen's pants

SALINAS, CA

At about 4:50 p.m., officers with the Salinas Police Department's gang unit contacted two suspected gang members in the 1000 block of East Laurel Drive.

The teenagers were acting nervous, according to the Police Department. They allowed officers to conduct a search and police allegedly found the shotgun in the 16-year-old's pants. The 16-year-old was booked for possession of a shotgun and the other teen was released.
