Bacar, located south of Market Street, is among the assets that federal investigators have said they are planning to seize, but /*\\Madoff's wife sold her interest in the restaurant in 2007.
"Bacar is just not at all associated with them other than to have an allegation confirmed in some documents filed by some attorneys, it's unfortunate, but the Madoffs are not involved in any way, shape, or form," Bacar partner Jon Jackson said.
Jackson said he bought Ruth Maddoff's share in Bacar for $35,000 - $15,000 less than she paid for it. He has notified federal investigators, and provided them with documents showing /*Madoff*/ no longer owns any interest in Bacar.
