An officer initiated a pursuit of a stolen 1994 black Acura Integra around 2:40 a.m., police said. The Acura had been stolen from Berkeley on Tuesday.

The officer chased the car until the driver lost control and spun out on the Oyster Point Boulevard on-ramp to northbound U.S. Highway 101, police said.

At that point the suspects reportedly drove the Acura directly at the patrol car, crashing into it head-on and disabling it.

Police said the Acura was then able to travel a short distance before suspects abandoned it and fled on foot.

Officers located the car and searched the area with assistance from Colma and Brisbane police and K-9 units but the suspects were not found.

The officer was not injured but the suspects are now wanted for assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer.
