Officers responded to the home on Palm Court near Elm Avenue at about 4 p.m. on a report of a man who accidentally fell, police Sgt. Jim Shirk said.
Emergency crews took the man to Marin General Hospital, where he died a short time later, according to Shirk. His identity is being withheld pending notification of his family.
Shirk said the fall is under investigation and it wasn't immediately clear what he fell from or how far he fell.
