It was on March 25, 1959, 22 St. Mary's students crammed into a phone booth. A Life Magazine photographer snapped a picture of the event, which sparked copy-cats from coast to coast. Wednesday, a group of students will try to break the campus record in a vintage phone booth.

"I thought it was something fun, I've seen photo's and heard all about it, I wanted to try it myself, and experience something different you really don't see take place too often," St. Mary's freshman Briana Warner.

The Life Magazine photographer, Joe Munroe, is now 92-years-old and still lives in Orinda. He will be on hand tomorrow.
