Police received reports of shots fired at about 11:20 p.m. in the area of Atlas Road and Richmond Parkway.
French said police spotted an Acura that had come to a rest outside a UPS facility and found Devin Johnson in the driver's seat. He had suffered at least one gunshot wound.
Police believe Johnson was driving when he was shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
