Lincecum explains his love of the beanie

"I just started wearing them like last year. I had never really got into it. I was always more of a hat guy and I think when I started growing my hair out I started wearing a beanie because I just didn't want to do my hair - too lazy for it, it covers it up. It looks grungy but whatever, I don't really care," said Tim Lincecum, beanie hat aficionado.

At a hockey game, in an interview, signing autographs, even in commercials - the beanie is firmly attached.

"I try to keep the beanie on as much as possible. I mean, it's kind of windy here in /*San Francisco*/. It just seems like I have a beanie on everywhere I go," said Lincecum.

But Timmy's teammates, it seems, have been slow to warm to his noggin knapsack.

"I don't know if I could do it the way Timmy does. He makes it look pretty good. As good as its going to look with his hair," Aaron Rowand, Giants center fielder.

"If I could take one of his and wear it for a couple days and see what sort of vibe I get from it, you might see the new look from Emmanuel Burris," said Emmanuel Burriss, Giants 2nd baseman.

"He's got his own unique look. They're going to make a bobble-head of him wearing a beanie probably at some point," said Rowand.

And you know Lincecum would love that. Maybe even his own line of beanies.

"That would be really cool," said Lincecum.
