Bay Area purses contain lead

Dozens of purses and wallets sold in the Bay Area contain high levels of lead. That is according to tests by the Center for Environmental Health.

The picture above shows just a few styles found to violate the state standards for lead exposure.

The purses and wallets are made of vinyl and faux leather and were sold at retailers including Target, Macy's, and Walmart.

Researches say the highest levels of lead were in yellow, green, and orange bags.
