Lanes reopened on Hwy 101 in San Jose

An overturned big rig briefly blocked three lanes of southbound U.S. Highway 101 as well as a connector ramp from southbound Interstate Highway 880 in San Jose this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.SIGN-UP: Get breaking news sent to you

The crash was reported at about 7:30 a.m. on Highway 101 near Highway 880, CHP Officer Marc Johnston said.

The big rig overturned and was the only vehicle involved in the crash, according to Johnston.

The three right lanes of southbound Highway 101 and the ramp from southbound Highway 880 were blocked for nearly two hours by the crash, Johnston said.

A Sig-alert issued at 7:45 a.m. was canceled at 9:15 a.m.
