One of the victims, Staff Sergeant Bryan Hall, was from Elk Grove. He was one of five U.S. soldiers killed on friday, when their vehicle was struck by a bomb in Mosul, Iraq.
Another California soldier died in that same attack, Bryce Gautier from Orange County.
Also, San Bernardino County's Jacob Ramsey was killed Friday in Afghanistan.
