The incident began at about 8:40 p.m. Sunday when police received a report of a man wandering around an apartment complex on Gading Road who possibly had a gun, according to Orrey.

The man did not come out of his apartment despite additional police units arriving at the apartment complex, Orrey said.

The suspect finally came out of the apartment at about 2:20 a.m. today and was arrested for the negligent discharge of a firearm, she said.

Orrey said "it's still very early in the investigation" into what happened, and that detectives will "sort through this and figure out exactly what we have."
