Sheriff's Capt. John Robertson said 63-year-old Carl Lyons was last seen Tuesday by a U.S. Bureau of Reclamation employee. The sheriff's department's dive team found Lyons' body near one of the docks between 1 and 2 p.m. Thursday, Robertson said.

Lyons' pickup was found near the shoreline within the Spanish Flats Resort. A chain was attached between the bumper of his truck and one of the docks and Lyons apparently was trying to move or secure one of the docks to the shoreline, Robertson said.

The door to Lyons' pickup was open and the keys were in the ignition.

Lyons lived at the resort where he worked for two years and the door to his trailer was open and the television was on, Robertson said.

There were no signs of foul play and an autopsy Monday may determine if Lyons accidentally drowned or suffered a medical condition that caused his death, Robertson said.
