Fairfield residents busted for meth

Officers received a report of an assault in the downtown area at about 10:45 p.m.

Police said officers searched the area for the suspects and spotted a car that matched the description of the suspect vehicle.

Officers arrested 37-year-old Brian Vaughn and 29-year-old Michelle Hamilton after a search of their car revealed methamphetamine valued up to $10,000, according to police.

Both were arrested for the alleged transportation and possession for sales of methamphetamine. Vaughn and Hamilton were also arrested for a parole violation and a probation violation respectively and booked into Solano County Jail.

Police are encouraging anyone with information related to narcotics or other criminal activity to call the Police Department at (707) 428-7300 or to remain anonymous, the Solano County Crime Stoppers at (707) 644-STOP.
