First lady to give UC Merced commencement speech

MERCED, CA Tickets have sold out for mrs. obama's commencement speech set for 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. There are indications some of the more established UC campuses are jealous of the newest and by far the smallest UC school. UC Berkeley's student newspaper recently published an article with the headline "Put to shame by Merced." In it, the paper's editorial board writes about the "somewhat disappointing quality" of their school's commencement speakers.
