That is according to police who say the car was traveling down Lois Avenue at about 10:30 p.m., when one of two male passengers riding on the roof slipped off.
The victim's age and identity have not been released.
The driver was arrested and booked into Santa Clara County Jail. He faces charges of driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter.
