She was first elected to office as a member of the Council in December 2006. Presently, she is also working for a biotech firm in Mission Bay, San Francisco. Her prior business experience has been as an Office Manager/Executive Assistant, Legal Secretary, HR Administrator, in some of the top law firms in the Bay Area, Xerox Corporation, and several investment and venture capital firms.
Ms. del Rosario was a past President of the Filipino American Association of Colma, former Director for the Filipino American Coalition, and presently serves as a member of the Seton Medical Center Community Advisory Council, and a member of the "Kumares & Kumpares", which is the Filipino outreach for CORA, "Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse", (the only agency in San Mateo County with the sole purpose of serving victims of domestic violence/abuse.)
Ms. del Rosario was born in New York City in 1953 and lived in Yonkers, NY till the age of 12. She then returned to Manila until 1974. She was educated both here in the United States and in the Philippines. She came to live in California in 1978, and moved to Colma in 2001 with her husband, Rene Malimban. She has one son, Reginald from a previous marriage.
