Oscar Hernandez was buried on Friday. The Catholic funeral home went ahead with the service, even though his family was unable to pay.

Grief counselor Todd Walker says the family is poor and needs help.

"I think they're really going to need some help. His mother's going to need some help anyway to take care of the other kids, because burying him is going to take any resources that she had. Collecting money to help out the family and just anything they need," said Oscar's friend Crystal Cervantes.

The shooting happened in front of a Richmond apartment building near Hilltop. Police say they have no suspects.

A $10,000 reward has been offered for the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
