Search for suspect after Bay Bridge pursuit

San Francisco police are searching for a at least one suspect who abandoned a vehicle in the city's Visitacion Valley neighborhood after leading authorities on a pursuit across the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge this morning, according to San Francisco police.

The incident started some time before 5 a.m. in Oakland, where Oakland police began to pursue a vehicle that eventually got onto the Bay Bridge where the California Highway Patrol joined the pursuit, according to police.

The vehicle got off Interstate Highway 80 in San Francisco where authorities lost sight of it, police said.

The vehicle was spotted soon afterward in the city's Visitacion Valley neighborhood where it had been abandoned.

No one has been arrested in connection with the incident, and no suspect information was immediately available, according to police.
