Officer Bob gets present from Santa

A popular North Bay policeman known as "Officer Bob" was honored Monday for his dedication to his work and to his grandson, who has leukemia.

Ross police officer Bob Besgrove has put off his retirement to help pay for the care of his 2-year-old grandson Aden.

Monday, Woodlands Market in Kentfield proclaimed it "Officer Bob Day." Owner Don Santa has pledged to donate 5 percent of the gross profits from Monday to a fund that helps with Aden's medical expenses.

Officer Bob is well known as the policeman who patrols Ross School. The Ross Police Department is accepting donations for Aden's expenses.
