Units responded to reports of a collision at around 11:25 p.m. Monday on Highway 4 just east of a junction with Interstate Highway 680 near Concord, CHP Officer Ralph Caggiano said.

Preliminary reports indicate the driver of a motorcycle was killed in a collision involving two other vehicles, Caggiano said. A coroner was called to the scene.

A Sig-alert was issued at 11:45 p.m., and all lanes were reported clear at about 1 a.m.
