Police recommend charges in salon beating

Police in Oakland are now recommending charges be filed against two women who assaulted a hair salon owner last month. The attack was all taped.

Police tell ABC7 they plan to ask the district attorney to file battery and false imprisonment charges against Cavenia Bryant -- the woman who was seen in the video in a light blue shirt. Officers are also recommending charges be filed against Jamillya Edgerton, who was seen kicking the salon owner.

Police obtained arrest warrants for two other people, but they will not be recommending charges against either of them for now.

Police want anyone with information about the attack to call the OPD Assault Section at (510) 238-3426.
