In the TV series, there is an exchange between San Francisco and Chicago.

Kyle Weeks of Pinole got miced up for his date with Allison Castelli of Chicago. They are meeting for the first time, taking a ferry ride to Sausalito. She is in media relations; he is an electrician.

In the show she goes on three dates. It is reality TV; none of it is scripted.

"I literally have to show up and be myself. It's pretty easy since the dates are set up for me. I think it's more stressful for the guys because they have to figure out where to take me and what to do," Castelli said.

It's a little stressful coming up with interesting conversation and facing the production time limits.

Castelli and Weeks were picked from a nationwide casting search to get people to appear on 10 weeks of shows.

"It's all about finding the right girl and the right city and when we find that combo here we are," producer Devon Platte said.

They wind up for lunch at Horizons Restaurant.

Later Castelli will compare notes with Soraya Moore of Benicia, who went to Chicago.

In the film, the couple finds true romance. Could it happen in real life? We'll just have to follow the dates.

The series premiers July 29 on ABC Soapnet.

ABC Soapnet and ABC7 are owned by the Walt Disney Company.
