The emergency closure of Alum Rock Park, located on Penitencia Creek Road, was ordered by the city after a daily climate reading in the park on Tuesday afternoon indicated high fire danger.
No activities of any kind will be allowed. The closure will be extended if hot, dry conditions persist, city officials said. The public will be notified if that happens.
