Tonsil removal could improve behaviour

Researchers at the University of Kansas conducted follow-up studies on children who had their tonsils and adenoids removed for sleep-related breathing disorders. They found the kids not only slept better after two years, but they also benefitted from a reduction in hyperactivity and inattention.

Enlarged tonsils that cause sleep problems are thought to be at the root of many childhood behavior problems.
