Study shows preschoolers get depressed

A study out of Washington University in St. Louis found depression affects about two percent or 160,000 U.S. children as young as three.

Depression was most common in the preschoolers whose mothers suffered from depression and those who had experienced a traumatic event.

The findings are in the archives of "General Psychiatry."
