Police arrived at a hotel in the 200 block of Broadway about 7 a.m., and found a deceased person in a room with tanks of an unknown gas, a police dispatcher said.
Police called in a hazardous materials team and evacuated neighboring rooms before crews determined that the gas in the tanks was non-toxic. The dispatcher said she did not know what kind of gas was in the tanks.
The incident remains under investigation.
