Shoemaker Kenneth Cole is unveiling new 4-inch heels that not only look good, but he claims women can wear them all day and walk in them comfortably.

The shoe features thick rubber soles, foam that molds to the foot, flaxseed pillow to support arches, and a lining for breathability.

Cole says it took years to work on the perfect fit.

"Why shouldn't a woman be able to wear the same shoes to work, at work, and after work like a guy typically can?" he said.

"This particular shoe has done a good job at actually supporting that middle part of the arch," said Dr. Rock Positano, Hospital for Special Surgery. "They've also built something in the front of the foot to help absorb shock, particularly within the 10,000 to 20,000 steps that a person will take a day.

The shoes are priced between $135 to $160. The collection also includes smaller-inch heels and flats.
