A report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics looks at employment trend in 11 industries from computer chips to biotech.

The report shows the number of workers is down in the Valley about 17 percent since 200, but the average wage is up nearly 36 percent over the same period.

About 86,000 jobs were eliminated over the past eight years.

Aerospace, pharmaceuticals and research and development were the only fields to see job growth.
