Weight loss drug under FDA investigation

The Food and Drug Administration is investigating reports of liver damage in patients taking Alli, the only non-prescription weight loss drug approved by the FDA.

The agency has received 30 reports of liver damage in patients taking the drug and its prescription counterpart Xenical. Of those cases, six suffered liver failure.
