It didn't take long for the curious gorillas to take the photos from the trees, rip them apart and begin chewing on them.

Handlers hope it's a sign the gorillas will accept the new male. The male gorilla will be traveling to London later this year from a zoo in France.

The London Zoo has been searching for a new mate for their gorillas for eight months.
