Firefighters arrived to find the vacant house fully engulfed in flames. The fire chief says they could not reach the flames because it got underneath the tiles, so they had to take a defensive position.

The caretaker living next door told ABC7 he saw people using flashlights in the vacant house overnight. Fire officials say teenagers have been known to trespass at the home.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
